These cutting & welding tools have stainless steel & forged brass construction for corrosion resistance, structural rigidity and preventing bending / breaking under harsh use. Victor 315FC welding / torch handle is equipped with built-in flashback arrestors & reverse flow check valves for preventing accidents due to back-channelling of flame or fuel gases from the torch tip into the gas line. This Victor 315FC torch handle can fit either the welding nozzle or cutting torch for cutting / welding metal pieces. Victor 315FC handle also has two connections for connecting the oxygen & gas supply hoses to the torch. The flow rate & pressure of the gas (oxygen & acetylene) supplied from gas cylinders can be controlled by two regulators. Working Mechanism:

Welding:

• After Victor 315FC torch handle is attached to the hose lines & gas cylinders, connect the welding nozzle to Victor 315FC torch handle.
• Control the acetylene & oxygen pressure to Victor 315FC torch handle using their respective regulators (attached to gas cylinders), according to the guidelines in the instruction manual.
• Open the acetylene & oxygen knobs on Victor 315FC torch handle and bring the torch assembly near the metal pieces. Use a striker to start a fire and adjust the flame using the acetylene & oxygen knobs.
• Bring this torch assembly near the clamped metal pieces and start heating the metal edges near the joint.
• After a certain time, the heated edge would start melting. Join the corners of the joint and start melting the middle part of the joint. The molten metal from the metal pieces would join together and form a single piece of metal.

Cutting:

• After Victor 315FC torch handle is attached to the hose lines & gas cylinders, connect Victor CA2460 cutting attachment & an appropriate cutting tip to Victor 315FC handle.
• Control the acetylene & oxygen pressure using their respective regulators, according to the guidelines in the instruction manual.
• Open the acetylene & oxygen knobs on Victor 315FC torch handle and bring the torch assembly near the workpiece. Use a striker or lighter to start a fire. Control Victor 315FC torch handle's acetylene & oxygen knobs to adjust the flame.
• Bring this torch assembly near the prepared metal workpiece and start heating metal near the cutting edge.
• After a certain time, the heated edge would start melting. Press the cutting oxygen lever to provide a high pressure oxygen blast for removing the melted materials and start cutting the metal workpiece.

After cutting or welding the metal workpieces, the acetylene & oxygen valves on Victor 315FC torch handle & gas cylinders must be closed. The cut or welded metal piece should be sanded for smooth edges / surface.
