Starrett 819 is a hinge-locating automatic center punch featuring a replaceable, 0.015-inch, high-carbon-steel point for easy replacement / resharpening and a knurled aluminium handle.
It has a pressure-actuated internal trip hammer for single-handed operation, sleeves around the pin to prevent the risk of drilling off center (ideal for installating hinges), and a blow force ranging from 1.5 - 5.5 lb.
The strokes of this Starrett center punch can be adjusted by turning the knurled cap to create deep impressions with a proper impact pressure.
