Product Details:

Macromatic TD-80222-41 time delay relay is suitable for selecting time delay between 1 & 1023 seconds. This TD-8 Series relay unit can be programmed by moving the switches of a 10-position DIP switch. It provides greater accuracy than other relay units having an analogue potentiometer. It is equipped with an LED that indicates the status of the relay.

Features:

  • Macromatic TD-80222-41 time delay relay offers On Delay function for energising the circuit.
  • It is equipped with an LED that lights to a green colour to indicate the unit's power status and red colour to show the energised relay status.
  • This unit has 10A-rated DPDT output contacts and requires an input of 120V AC/DC power.
  • It can operate at temperatures ranging from -28 to 65 degrees C (-18 to 149 degrees F).
  • This pilot-duty rated relay requires 8-pin octal sockets for proper wiring.

Compatible Accessories:

  • Solid State Switches: These switches are used to control the load current flowing into this relay unit.

Standards and Approvals:

  • UL
  • CE
  • CSA

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. How does the On Delay function work?

A. After the input voltage is applied to the relay unit, the time delay begins. After the time delay, the output is energised. Input voltage must be removed to reset the time delay relay & de-energise the output. This unit can be programmed using a DIP switch that is labelled with time increment. The required time delay can be set by moving the equipped switches to the ON position and adding up their labelled values. For example, a 5-minute (300 second) time delay can be set by moving the 4, 8, 32 & 256 switches to the ON position.

Q. How to install Macromatic TD-80222-41 time delay relay?

A.

  • Mount an appropriate socket inside a suitable enclosure & wire it according to the wiring diagram.
  • Users should match the terminal numbers of the socket with the relay unit's wiring diagram.
  • Plug Macromatic TD-80222-41 time delay relay into the socket while properly orienting the key on the centre post.

Q. What is the start-up & maintain function time of Macromatic TD-80222-41 time delay relay?

A. The start-up time refers to the time required to start the timing in the unit after power is applied (0.05 seconds). The maintain function time is the time the unit operates after removing power (0.01 seconds).
