Eaton EGE3020FFG moulded case circuit breaker prevents electrical fires caused by arc faults and overloading. The unit has a patented contact design featuring high-speed blow-open action for maximum protection against potential damage.

Working Mechanism:

• This MCCB has a bimetallic contact to protect from overloads. On temperature change, the strip bends / deflects and trips the circuit.
• It also contains a solenoid that produces electromagnetic force. The excessive current flow passes through the solenoid that attracts and repels a plunger that is responsible for tripping the breaker.
• The current can be restored by resetting the TRIPPING status to OFF and ON, respectively.

Features:

• It features a thermal-magnetic trip for avoiding nuisance tripping on mild overloads up to 20A, but reacting instantly when exposed to severe faults.
• It has a three-pole design with interrupting ratings of 35kA at 240VAC, 25kA at 480VAC and 18kA at 600Y / 347VAC.
