Eaton BRP120A1CS is a dual-purpose arc fault (AFCI) & ground fault (GFCI) combination circuit interrupter. It is designed to detect electrical arcs & imbalance in outgoing / incoming current to protect from electric shocks & fires. It is ideal for HVAC systems, laundry areas and kitchen spaces.
Working Mechanism:
- Eaton BRP120A1CS circuit breaker normally allows current to pass through. The current-carrying contacts touch each other in this state.
- When it detects ground faults, the contacts move away from each other, thereby tripping the circuit.
- Users can switch the circuit back On by resetting it after troubleshooting the issue.
Features:
- It has a single-pole, single-phase configuration and a BRN frame design.
- It is equipped with a thermal-magnetic trip for providing both long time and instantaneous current tripping.
- This unit features an integral LED that reduces troubleshooting time by indicating the trip.
- The plug-on neutral design, compact form factor and guide fin allow quick installation.
- This breaker features a short body with reduced pigtail clutter, providing a clean & large gutter space.
- Its resistance to temperature changes reduces energy consumption & heat dissipation.
Compatible Accessories:
- Eaton BR Neutral Breaker Boxes: Eaton BRP120A1CS breakers can easily fit onto Eaton BR type plug-on neutral breaker boxes for smooth operation.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. How to install a circuit breaker?
A.
- Take off the panel cover. Use a screwdriver to unscrew all four edges of the panel cover while holding it tight to prevent it from slipping off.
- Connect the neutral and ground wires.
- Place the breaker inside.
- Screw the panel cover back.
Q. Do neutral and ground go to the same bus?
A. No, only connect grounds and neutrals at the last point of disconnect.
Q. What do the different trip codes signify?
A.
- Series arc - 1 blink
- Parallel arc - 2 blinks
- Short dealy - 3 blinks
- Overvoltage - 4 blinks
- Ground faults - 5 blinks
- Self-diagnostic test failure - 6 blinks
