What is the difference between a piston and rotary compressor?
Piston air compressors are oil-cooled, allowing the release of oil residue on discharging compressed air. On the other hand, rotary air compressors are designed with two interlocking helical rotors that fit between them with a small gap and are soaked in an oil bath within housing. Also, the rotary vane mechanism is more durable & efficient than piston compressors, providing higher air quality, better energy efficiency, more uptime, cost-effectiveness and longer service life.
