RIDGID vises are designed to hold a workpiece stationary in woodworking, metalworking, and other manufacturing applications. These units feature a set of jaws, one fixed and one moving parallel to the other that are placed together to fasten the workpiece tightly.

The high-performance, rolled double lead Acme screw provides motion and positioning control in these bench vises. The threads on this screw have excellent wear properties, load capabilities and tolerances than any standard threaded rod. The threads are thicker and wider and are opted for environments with dirt and debris.
Models, such as XF45 and XF50, feature large capacity forged jaws to clamp pipes and rods, securely.
The F-Series vises are fitted to the surface with the help of bolts passing through the planks of the bench. The bolts are tightened utilising nuts and washers, securing the vise on the bench. If not fixed rigidly, these vises can vibrate and impair the surface finish and accuracy.
An anvil is provided with these vises for handling immediate hammer jobs.
