Working Mechanism

    • Installation on standard railings:
      1. Loosely fix the safety gate to the railing using U-bolts without tightening them.
      2. Align the top of the gate to the top of the railing.
      3. Adjust the railing / mounting bracket to be 90 degrees to the safety gate's opening and tighten the U-bolts.
      4. Select two out of the three carriage bolt holes at the joining point of the hinge plate & hoop / gate arms for adjusting the hoop / gate arm to the required opening width.
      5. The gate's stop plate should overlap & contact the adjacent vertical railing column.
      6. Check for proper alignment by fully operating the gates.
      7. Fully tighten the U-bolts with 20 ft-lb torque and use adequate attachments like protective thread caps.
    • Installation on angle railings or flat bar railing / wall surface:
      1. Fix the railing bracket of the safety gate flush to the inside of the angled railing or on the flat bar / flat wall.
      2. Align the top of the gate to the top of the railing.
      3. Drill holes into the railing and insert mounting bolts through the railing brackets. Adjust the top of hoop / gate arm to 42 inch above the walking surface if no railing found.
      4. The rest of the steps for adjusting the gate arm to the appropriate opening width are the same as the installation steps on standard railings.
    • Operating safety gate while ascending a ladder or entering the elevated platform:
      1. Climb the ladder till the user reaches the gate.
      2. Securely hold the railing or ladder and step through the gate onto the elevated platform.
    • Operating safety gate while descending a ladder or exiting the elevated platform:
      1. Open the safety gate while obtaining a secure grip on the ladder railing.
      2. Then, users can manoeuvre themselves into the appropriate ladder descending position and start descending until ground level.

  • The gate is made of mild steel with a safety yellow powder coating or zinc-coated finish for durability, visibility & structural strength.
  • These self-closing gates use springs that can withstand over 1 million cycles for round the clock safety / protection.
  • They come in a ready to install kit containing pre-assembled parts (hinge plate assembly, hoop, carriage bolts, flat washers & nylock nuts), a hardware bag and an optional support block kit.

Compatible Accessories

  • Lock-Out Kit: This kit prevents unauthorised entry into restricted areas, mezzanines or elevated platforms by locking the gate.
