Working Mechanism

  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) work by changing the incoming alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC) and then converting the DC back into AC power at a different frequency.
  • The frequency of the AC power can be varied by adjusting the switching rate of a connected inverter.
  • Increasing the frequency of the VFD increases the speed of the motor and decreasing the frequency reduces the speed of the motor.

  • These units have numerous advanced control & protection functions like adjustable motor overload / short-circuit protection and programmable digital inputs & outputs.
  • Their removable entry panels (top & bottom) & easily accessible terminals allow quick connections with the equipment.
  • These VFDs further feature a DC link choke for reducing electrical noise caused by harmonic distortions.
  • They can be used for remote control & monitoring operations using their digital communication ports & A-type software. They can easily control the bypass circuit using a keypad, digital input, BMS communications or in-fault conditions.
  • IntelliDisconnect NEMA Type 3R or IntelliPass NEMA Type 3R enclosure of these units protect them from damage.
  • Selected models have a space heater with transformers and pilot lights for easy, controlled & smart operation.
