Raptor Supplies offers a wide array of weld studs featuring copper alloy / mild steel / stainless steel / steel construction for impact strength & mildly magnetic properties. These weld studs are manufactured by Nelson & Vulcan Hart.

Features

  • These studs have projections that concentrate the weld and a wide base that spreads the weight.
  • They allow one side of the connection (the stud or bolt) to be permanently and firmly attached to the base material.
  • Selected capacitor discharge welds feature a small, top-mounted projection for melting & fusing to the sheet while preventing overheating, thereby eliminating distortion during installation.
  • Welding studs are available in thread lengths ranging from 0.312 to 2 inches on Raptor Supplies.

What is stud welding?

  • The studs are permanently attached to one side of a workpiece while the other side is left undamaged by the stud welding procedure.
  • A suitable stud welding gun accepts the weld stud, which is then fed current by a stud welder through the gun.
  • The workpiece and the base of the stud are melted by the current, fusing them together to form a weld.
