Working Mechanism

Direction Control Valves

  • When the valve is in the neutral position, hydraulic fluid is blocked from flowing through the valve.
  • When the valve is shifted to one of its active positions, it allows the hydraulic fluid to flow through the valve and into the appropriate hydraulic cylinder or motor.

Pressure Control Valves

  • These valves work by sensing the pressure of the hydraulic fluid and opening or closing a passage to maintain a specific pressure level.

Flow Control Valves

  • They control the size of a passage through which the fluid flows, thereby controlling the flow rate.
  • Features

    Eaton VLH Priority Valves:

    • These load-sensing priority valves feature ductile iron / cast iron construction for structural rigidity and high compression strength.
    • They have holes for mounting, making the installation process quick and safe.

    Eaton EFV1-12-C Series Proportional Valves:

    • These Vickers proportional valves feature screw-in cartridge-type installation for a secure fit.
    • They are equipped with Buna-N seals to avoid leakage.
    • These Eaton Danfoss proportional valves feature steel construction for structural rigidity and withstand temperatures up to 90 degrees C.

    Parker Solenoid Valves:

    • These hydraulic cartridge valves have low-friction breakaways for fast response time and are operated via an electrical solenoid.
    • They feature a bellow for protection against vibrations, thermal expansion and piping loads.
    • Their unique design ensures reliable performance with low-pressure drop and minimal hysteresis.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How do you maintain hydraulic cartridge valves?

    • Hydraulic cartridge valves must be inspected regularly for signs of wear or damage and cleaned as necessary to remove dirt & debris.
    • Proper fluid filtration and contamination control are also important to prevent valve damage and failure.

How to troubleshoot a hydraulic cartridge valve?

    • Check for any obvious signs of damage or wear, such as leaks or sticking.
    • Regularly monitor the fluid level and ensure that the system is properly pressurised.

How to determine the proper size of a hydraulic cartridge valve for an application?

The proper size of a hydraulic cartridge valve for an application depends on the required flow rate, pressure and viscosity of the hydraulic fluid.
