Class 2 Transformers, Single Phase Motor Design

Dayton Class 2 transformers are used in low voltage applications, such as digital controllers, gas controls, motor actuators, ignition systems, staging controls and HVACR control systems. Selected models come with thermal circuit breakers to protect equipment and internal components from current overload and short circuit conditions. They feature plate / frame / enclosed type transformer enclosure that allows application in specific conditions and can easily replace any existing transformer with the same primary and secondary voltages / VA ratings (equal / less than original). Choose from an array of these transformers, available in heights of 1.9 and 2.1 inches.

Class 2 Transformers with Secondary Circuit Protection

Dayton Class 2 transformers are suitable for low-voltage devices (up to 480VAC), such as thermostats, gas valves, relays and others. These units are used in conjunction with secondary circuits that are considered safe from a fire initiation standpoint and prevent chances of a shock due to the power limitations of the class 2 transformers. They are available in open and enclosed type enclosures and are compliant with UL and cURus standards.
