Tempco band heaters are designed to heat cylindrical surfaces and are widely used in oil reclamation systems, plastic extruders, plastic injection molding machines and metallurgical analysation equipment. They are suitable for applications requiring high watt densities and / or high operating temperatures. These heaters feature unbreakable power screw terminals, contamination-proof design, excellent heat transfer and a maximum working temperature of 1400 degrees Fahrenheit. They are available in ceramic insulated fibre, mica-insulated steel, aluminium extrusion and mineral-insulated stainless steel alloy variants.

Band Heaters

Tempco industrial-grade band heaters are capable of wrapping around the workpiece for optimum heat transfer and are therefore, best suited for heating cylindrical objects. These heat bands feature an adjustable metal strap and stainless-steel screw terminals for accommodating different workpieces and ease of installation, respectively. For additional protection, the exposed terminals are covered with a separate terminal box in the NHL, MBH, BCH, MPP and NHW Series band heaters. The BCH Series heaters come equipped with interlocked ceramic insulating bricks that offer structural rigidity and dielectric strength at high voltages and temperatures. Selected models (NHL, NHW and MBH Series) also feature premium-grade, thick insulation mica sheets paired with a durable steel sheath casing to enhance the thermal conductivity and emissivity rates. Choose from a wide range of these heat bands, available in 27 - 58 square inch watt density options on Raptor Supplies.
