About Procon

Procon pump has been manufacturing high-quality pumps, motors and related accessories for more than 50 years. The brand manufactures six types of pumps in brass and stainless steel variants, having flow rates ranging between 15 and 660 gallons per hour. The RoHS, NSF and ATEX certified Procon pump is widely used in hydraulics, pneumatics and plumbing industries. The Procon rotary vane pump is capable of handling liquids with low lubricating characteristics at high pressures. It can be used with fire-resistant fluids, hydraulic oils, lubricants and coolants for application in reverse osmosis systems, beer cooling systems, carwash machines, atomising / misting systems and steam cleaning machines. Choose from a wide variety of rotary vane pumps and other Procon pump products, such as v-band clamps, couplings and pump adapter kits.

Things To Consider

Why Us?

Raptor Supplies, a trusted Procon pump distributor, offers its complete range of products, such as pre-configured and user-configured pumps that come supplied with various accessories like v-band clamps, couplings and pump adapter kits. We can recommend suitable coupling configurations for accommodating diverse sized shafts.

Shipping

These Procon pumps are small in size and require compact packaging. Hence, they are delivered in packs consisting of several pieces. These Procon pumps are suitable for courier shipment and not air freight.

Procon Competitive Advantages

Low Vibrations & Pulsation

Procon pumps have low vibration & pulsation characteristics for ensuring a smooth fluid flow throughout the pumping operation. Low vibrational characteristics also ensure that the pump is suitable for applications that demand vibration-free operation. These pumps have patented relief valve configuration for diverting the fluid flow if pressure builds up inside the pump. This feature prevents any damage to the pump assembly and the connected system.

No Mechanical Seal

Procon pumps feature mechanical seal free design. Mechanical seals are the weak point in the pumping system as these can fail. Eliminating mechanical seals from the pump assembly eliminates the chances of pump failure. It ensures leakage-free operation throughout the fluid pumping. These pumps have 303 stainless steel construction, preventing chances of fluid contamination while ensuring maintenance-free operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to install Procon pumps?

Users should first mount the drive shaft coupling onto the motor, ensuring the motor is electrically disconnected. Mount the motor adapter onto the motor, engaging the coupling pieces. Connect the inlet and outlet line after checking the pump motor rotation. Users should check for the pump pressure & leakages.

How to adjust the pressure on Procon pumps?

Procon pumps have an acorn nut on the inlet side. The acorn nut covers the relief valve of the pump. To gain access to the slotted adjustment screw, the user should remove the acorn nut, which exposes the adjustment screw after removal. Users can turn the adjustment screw clockwise to increase the pump pressure and counterclockwise to decrease the pressure.

How to clean a clogged inlet on a Procon pump?

Users should first clean the internal strainer or inlet filter on the pump. Users should ensure that the dirt / debris does not fall inside the pump while cleaning / replacing the filter.

How to correct the pump & motor alignment?

First, turn OFF and disconnect the motor from the power source. Remove the pump assembly from the motor. Users should then remount the pump assembly onto the motor, making sure the motor & pump unit are aligned correctly.
