Frequently Asked Questions

What's the best way to moor the Rat Guard to the line?

The innovative hatch on each OffBoard Rat Guard opens to allow attachment to the mooring line. The spring hinge door is closed when the line has been inserted and the Rat Guard is then fastened to the line. The door is kept closed and the Rat Guard is clamped to the line by the innovative spring hinge.

How can we remove the Rat Guard from the mooring line?

Remove the mooring line by simply opening the spring hinge door. The Rat Guard cannot be removed until the optional lock has been unlocked.

How can we fasten the satellite cover to the dish?

We secure the cover to the dish using multiple UV-resistant polyester cables, whereas other manufacturers employ a single attachment device. The other cords continue to hold the cover onto the dish even if one fails.

How long does it take to put the dish antenna cover on?

Less than 15 minutes are needed for installation. There are clear directions on every cover and are all straightforward to follow.
