Cross-Reference Alternatives

Bernard Welding MPNs cross individual references to the equivalent Hoffman, APC and Eaton model numbers for fans, enclosures and air conditioners. So, if you're looking for a competitor item that is either out of stock or obsolete, chances are Raptor Supplies has the equivalent Bernard Welding products available.

Shipping

These Bernard Welding products range from small to large sizes. They may require careful packaging as some items might get damaged while shipping. Hence, these items are delivered by courier shipment and air freight for minimum downtime.

About Bernard

The company's extensive catalogue includes MIG welding guns, fume extraction welding guns, MIG welding consumables, Dura-Flux guns and related accessories. Bernard MIG welding guns feature an internal gas hose which resists chances of kinking from the consistent gas flow and a rotatable (45 - 60 degrees) aluminium neck tube to withstand abuse and heat dissipation. These air-cooled welding guns have cone nut threaded cable connections for increased electrical conductivity and are ideal for the automotive, manufacturing and metalworking industries. The brand's gas diffusers can be installed easily into cooling / load-lock / transfer / process chambers and are compatible for use with most systems. These brass gas diffusers enable expeditious venting to the atmosphere while restricting any other particles from entering the chamber.

AccuLock MIG Welding Contact Tip

AccuLock MIG Welding Contact Tip

This contact tip is designed to guide the welding wire from the wire feeder to the welding arc. It has a taper lock design for improved wire feeding and excellent electrical conductivity. It features a steel retaining ring on the diffuser that keeps the threaded nozzle in place during use / cleaning and prevents loosening. The diffuser of the gun h...

elps to lock and align a liner with a contact tip to attain a flawless wire feeding path. This contact tip is also embedded within the diffuser which protects it from getting in contact with the direct heat of the weld and reduces tip wear.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to install AccuLock S liners?

  • Remove the nozzle of the welding gun.
  • Loosen the gas diffuser and remove it from the gun.
  • Lossen the set screw in the power pin cap and remove the cap from the rear of the gun.
  • Now remove the old liner and replace it with a new liner through the neck.
  • Keep the gun straight and push the liner through until the brass liner lock bottoms on the neck.
  • Now, lock and centre the liner by reinstalling and tightening the gas diffuser.
  • Reinstall the nozzle.
  • Place the power pin cap over the liner and thread it onto the power pin.
  • Tighten the cap that is snug against the power pin shoulder with welding pliers or an appropriate wrench.
  • Trim the liner flush with the power pin.
  • Finally, insert a piece of welding wire onto the liner to check for burrs or obstructions. If needed loosen the screw slightly until the wire slides freely.

What items are included in TOUGH LOCK consumables?

  • Retaining Heads: These units mate with contact tips to minimise contact tip temperature due to increased surface contact.
  • Contact Tips: These tips are made of high-quality and highly conductive copper using a mandrel-drawn process to control tip tolerance in high-temperature applications.
  • Nozzles: These nozzles are made of hard-drawn copper or brass and feature rounded edges to minimise weld spatter build-up.

How does a water-cooled MIG gun work?

Water-cooled MIG guns feature an integrated cooling mechanism that utilises a dedicated circuit for water circulation. This water is drawn from a separate cooler or chiller and directed through the gun's cable assembly. As it passes through the welding cable, nozzle and contact tip, it effectively absorbs and disperses excess heat, ensuring a consistently lower operational temperature.
