These Greenlee 880 Series hydraulic pipe benders can bend 1 to 2-inch galvanised rigid conduits and schedule 40 pipes.
They can be powered using any Greenlee hydraulic pump that delivers pressures up to 10000 psi (Greenlee 976-22FS, 976-22PS, 980-22FS & 980-22PS).
These Greenlee hydraulic conduit benders have pin-assembled aluminium components for portability & durability.
They are equipped with a ram travel scale and bending charts for control over bending angles & radius.
Working Mechanism
Assemble this pipe bender unit by placing the ram between the frame. Attach the bending shoe & shoe supports and positioning pipe supports.
Connect the ram to a hydraulic pump using a high-pressure hydraulic hose.
Set the ram travel scale to zero by loosening the ram travel scale nut and then tightening the nut.
Mark the conduit according to the manual and then insert the conduit into the bender.
The conduit bending mark should align with the centre of the bending shoe.
Use the hydraulic pump to push the ram into the pipe after finding out the ram travel required for accomplishing the desired bend.
Then, release the hydraulic pressure at the pump and move the conduit to the next bending position.
While making an offset bend, the conduit should be rotated 180 degrees before making the second bend.
Repeat the steps for bending other bends as well.
Remove the pipe / conduit from Greenlee pipe bender.

Frequently Asked Questions
What to do in case the Greenlee pipe benders fail to operate?
First, check whether the selected pipe bender can bend the required pipe diameter.
Then verify the hydraulic fluid level of the hydraulic cylinders and check for any leaks due to faulty, damaged or missing parts that could have compromised the safe operation of the machine.
The sides of the corner bracket should be lubricated to reduce abrasion-related damages when in contact with the pipe.
When do we require a segment bend?
Segment bending is required while bending pipes having a large bending radius.
Segment bending is made using a series of small bends spaced closely.
Users should use Greenlee 1802 bending table & Greenlee 1807 bending degree indicator to easily and accurately make the bend.
