The operator needs to adjust the spring tension by adding wraps to the cable reel. Stretch out approximately 10 feet of the cable. Hand feed hose back up through roller bracket assembly until the loop is extensive enough to slip over a sheave. Add two or three wraps until the required tension is attained.
To start retraction the user needs to give the hose a small tug. If pulled too far, the hose will lock again rather than retract. To shorten the hose, start retraction, then once at the required point, stop and walk back to lock it at the new length.
When selecting a static discharge reel, consider factors such as the required cable length, strength and ease of spring tension adjustment.
Ensure proper grounding and connection of the reel to the equipment. Regular inspection and maintenance are essential to identify and address any potential issues promptly.
